Blood Bag System

1071 – 1076

Common Features:

  • Designed for collection, storage, transfusion and transportation of human blood and its components
  • Consists of a single or multiple bags connected with tubes, needles, needle covers and clamps
  • Extra sharp thin walled 16G needle allows smooth, painless penetration and higher flow rates
  • Manufactured from high quality medical grade plasticised PVC compatible with blood having properties such as low toxicity, transparency, flexibility, high tensile strength, heat and cold resistance and acceptable permeability to water, oxygen and carbon dioxide
  • Anticoagulant solutions used are CPD for blood storage upto 21 days and CPDA 1 for enhanced storage upto 35 days
  • Optional CPD-SAGM anticoagulant solution variant for red blood storage upto 42 days
  • Option of satellite bag made from TOTM (Tri-Octyl-Tri-Mellitate) sheet which enhances the platelet storage period upto 5 days
  • As the anticoagulant maintains a reasonable amount of pH, it provides a high degree of red cell survival rate and oxygen delivery rate
  • Soft frosted and flexible kink resistant tubing with uniform wall thickness
  • Integrated donor tubing with markings at regular intervals to allow easier processing, cross matching and identification
  • Allows storage and transfusion of maximum possible blood
  • The blood loss due to sticking is minimal
  • Special dome shaped rounded shoulders / corners minimize red blood cell loss and allow easy separation of plasma
  • Collects and transfers blood and its components without any risk of contamination being a closed system
  • Tamper proof needle cover prevents re-use of bag
  • Outlet ports with tear apart tabs ensure sterility till they are actually used
  • Sterilizable by autoclaving (steam sterilization)
  • Special tamper evident and convenient write on label
  • Packed individually in plastic film and in multiples in special aluminum foil pouches
  • Also available with Leukodepletion Filter
  • Disposable, sterile and non pyrogenic
